I am currently an Associate Professor in the department of Computer Science at SFSU. Prior to joining SFSU, I was a faculty member in the ECE department at Georgia Institute of Technology. Before joining academia, I was in the industry (in the San Francisco-Bay area) at Exelixis, where I founded and headed the computational drug discovery group, which worked on various problems across the genomics-drug discovery spectrum and at Scimagix, where I worked on design and development of software systems related to multimedia biological information management.
I received my MSE degree in Computer Science from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute and the MS and PhD degrees in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota.
